The challenges in manufacturing sectors lie in achieving better attributes, quick response, superior quality and flexibility with reduced life cycle cost. This Conference was organized for presentation and discussion of the contemporary scientific and technological developments in the field of advanced manufacturing with special stress on green manufacturing.
The conference was inaugurated by Thiru. M. Kandhaswami, President, CODISSIA, Coimbatore. Dr. K. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, Karpagam University presided over the function. In his speech, he stressed on the need to protect environment. Dr. G. Karuppusami, Dean/FOE offered his felicitations.
A total of 35 participants from various engineering institutions in and around Coimbatore took active participation in the discussions, in addition to 15 faculty members of Karpagam University.
Dr.Amirthagadeswaran, HOD (PG), Mech, GCT, Coimbatore, Dr. G. Sundararaj, Associate professor, P.S.G.Tech, Coimbatore, Dr. Suresh prabhu, Dean, Mech. Engg., United Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Dr. K. Rameshkumar, Prof, Mech, Amrita University, Coimbatore, Dr. R. Saravanan, Prof & Head, Mech Engg, B.I.T. Sathy were the resource persons for the four technical sessions.
The valediction of the National conference was held at 4 P.M. on 25th January 2011. Dr. B. Senthilkumaran, Principal, KTVR Knowledge park, Coimbatore was the Chief guest. He congratulated the management for organizing the conference. Prof. K. Ramasamy, Vice-chancellor and Dr. G. Karuppusami, Dean/FOE graced the occasion. Prof. P.Natarajan proposed vote of thanks. Dr. A. M. K. Poduval was the organizing secretary for the National Conference. The function came to an end with National Anthem.
