AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Aeronautical Students Association named as ARESA and the Students Aero Club KUSAC (Karpagam University Students Aero Club)have been Inaugurated on 6/8/2010 by the esteemed Chief Guest:

Dr.A.P.Haran,
Professor and Head,
Dept of Aeronautical Engineering,
Park College of Engineering and Technology,
Coimbatore.


VISION:
To develop into a world class leading university consisting of school of excellence in Aeronautical Engineering concerned with Design, Construction, Development, Testing & Manufacture of commercial and Defense Aircraft, Missiles, Launch Vehicle and Space Craft

MISSION:
Aeronautical Engineering Department aims to train the students in a broad based manner with equal focus on applications in aircraft engineering, rocket and space technology

SMS FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

School of Mechanical Sciences has conducted a Faculty Development Program on 31st July 2010.

The seminar was based on "Handling Engineering Thermodynamics' and "Thermal Engineering". The program was named as "ELITTE-01,2010", which means "Empowering Lecturers in Innovative Teaching of Thermal Engineering" for BE/ B.Tech.This innovative title was coined by our Senior Professor, Dr.A.M.K.Poduval.

Karapagam University is very happy to have its new Vice Chancellor, Dr.K.Ramasamy and its our pride to have him in our function. He delivered the Presidential address.



Our beloved Director of School of Mechanical Sciences, Dr.G.Karuppusami delivered the welcome address.





The function continued with felicitation from various eminent dignitaries.




Next our beloved Registrar Dr.P.Lakshmana Perumal Samy gave his felicitation address.



Next our beloved Professor, Dr.Ranganathan also gave his felecitation.



Then our beloved Senior Professor, Dr.Mohana Krishna Poduval gave his vote of thanks.

After the tea break, our Chief guest gave his excellent speech.



which was based on "Handling Engineering Thermodynamics to BE / B.Tech students".

After the lunch break we returned to the afternoon session which was about "Role of research in becoming a successful teacher and promoting creative and innovative projects" and "Handling of Thermal Engineering to BE/B.Tech students"

Then the program came to an end. We got positive feedback from faculties who attended the seminar. Faculty from other college also attended the seminar .At the end of seminar , Mr.Nataraj , Assistant Professor gave his vote of thanks.

MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT INAUGURATION

Mechanical Engineering Association conducted its Inaugural function on 28th july 2010.

The chief guest who was an imminent personality , graciously accepted our invitation inspite of his busy schedule.

We started the function with a prayer , sung by our final year students.

Then we had lighting of kuthu vilaku . Then Welcome address was given byMr.K.Suresh, student president. Then we had the Presidential address. "Introduction of the chief guest" was done by Mr.Abinesh.

SMS- AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING VIDEO SESSION

Automobile Engineering Department , a part of School of Mechanical Sciences conducted a video session for the 3rd year students on 2/8/2010.

The video session was held in MBA Seminar hall during the morning session.

We were privileged to get support from Mr.P.Shanmugasundaram, HOD, Department of Automobile Engineering.

The session consisted of videos of Ferrari and BMW company's manufacturing unit.

A complete video showing all the processes in both companies made students gain more virtual knowledge. We got extremely positive feedback from the students.
