AERO PLUS 2011and AERO INDIA - 2011


Aero Plus 2011 – Aero Exhibition at Nehru Group of Institutions, Coimbatore
The students of Karpagam university, Aeronautical Department attended the Aero Exhibition held at Nehru Group of Institutions, Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore organized by Nehru Group of Institutions on 27.01.2011. Number of Aircrafts, Models, Helicopters were displayed and photo-gallary was also arranged. Students have visited all the laboratories. Aircraft engines were dismantled and components were displayed. A stall of GTRE showing the various components of Gas Turbine.

AERO INDIA - 2011, ASIA’s  PREMIER INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW’  - Bangalore


The country’s most prestigious and Asia’s  biggest Air Show ‘Aero India 2011’ was held on February 9 to 13,in Bangalore. There were 75,000 business visitors, nearly 3 lakhs general visitors and around 200 business to business meetings held to take advantage of growth in India. The show aims at bringing under one roof, exhibitors and other stakeholders from all around the globe to showcase the best in aviation and related technologies and products.

The flying display showed some of the latest Fighter Planes including Eurofighter Typhoons, Swiden’s Gripen, the French Dassault Rafael, Boeing’s F-16 Super Viper, etc,
       
       Apart from the daily display, the IAF’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and Sarang helicopter display team, and the Flying Bulls Aerobatic team was a major attraction at Aero India 2011.With its precise and impressive performances, the team has managed to secure a fixed place in the global aerobatics scene and had an outstanding international reputation.

As it was a pride and visual treat for Students of Aeronautical Engineering, Department of Aeronautical Engineering of Karpagam University, Coimbatore has made arrangements for taking their Aeronautical Students to participate in Aero India 2011, Bangalore. Their royal ride towards Bangalore was scheduled on 11th and 12th February, 2011. Department Aeronautical Engineering sincerely thank the Management for permitting such a thrilling and amazing Airshow.
